We ordered from MAC in the lobby one evening and Sandra was such a delight. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom is nice. The furnishings could use a little updating but still well maintained. I would definitely recommend. Read less

I stayed at the Hilton Waikiki Beach arriving on Monday, January 20th for 3 nights. I stayed in Room 2110 facing the Pacific. I thought the view from the room was lovely, with an almost perfectly clear view of the Ocean from the small but sufficient balcony. The hotel is set back only about two blocks from the Ocean. I loved this property, with one exception. You can tell it is an older property; however, it has been very well maintained. I arrived on Floor 21 via the fast and speedy elevators, and you can tell the hallway carpet has been replaced sometime in the past few months, as it still smells brand new. My room was great. It was likely remodeled sometime in the past few years. It has a very comfortable King Bed, a large TV, nice furniture that is in good condition, ample plugs and outlets and a chaise lounge. The bathroom is a bit tiny; however, still very nice. It has a single sink with plenty of counter space including shelving on both sides of the sink. The shower is spacious with plenty of great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The air conditioning worked well in the room as well. I utilized the restaurant Mac 24/7 on three occasions, and each time it was great as well. The only issue I had is that as a Diamond member, they should have upgraded me from a Deluxe Oceanview to a Premium Oceanview, which was available at check-in; however, instead the front desk representative decided to sell me an upgrade. When I asked her about the comp upgrade, she told me she could only sell them. A premium oceanview, would have upgraded me to a higher floor. This is just plain down rude, and is not the service I have come to expect, from a full service property. I would ask that someone contact me about this. Read less

This property is located basically one block from the beach, and the location is great because it is near everything but not itself in the high-end part of Waikiki. This property is located basically one block from the beach, and the location is great because it is near everything but not itself in the high-end part of Waikiki. (That’s an easy walk away if you want things like winter coats from famous designers, but that’s not why I travel to Hawaii.). Room was plenty comfortable and having an ocean view was great for seeing the sunset. (It’s ocean view, not oceanfront; there is a parking lot, church, and hotel between the hotel and the shore.) The beach towel system worked great. Pool deck had things to do, but this is not a property where the pool is an important part of the experience. Nice to have the food options onsite, but the other options nearby were more fun and tasted better. Something about it felt more like a Hilton Garden Inn rather than a Hilton. Which is fine, both are good, but I think it’s that with so many other hotels nearby that seem more upscale from the outside, the property didn’t really “feel” equivalent for the brand. As long as you have the right expectations (quality and comfort rather than luxury, close to rather than on the beach, more interesting dining offsite, not a huge pool), this is an excellent place to stay. I would happily return. Read less

My husband and I had a lovely stay at the Hilton Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa. The check-in process was welcoming, setting the tone for a positive stay. Everyone we encountered was warm and pleasant. Our ocean-view room was clean, and well-appointed with modern amenities. I was impressed with the space planning and the cheerful use of yellow accent colors, which added a lot to the atmosphere. Housekeeping was attentive and ensured we had everything we needed. We enjoyed a relaxing couples massage at the onsite spa. We splurged on daybeds at the pool, which were very comfortable and provided a relaxing oasis. The poolside food and drinks were good and reasonably priced. I appreciated the friendly and efficient service from the pool staff. I also loved that there were restrooms conveniently located on the pool deck. While the prime rib buffet offered pleasant service, we found the quality of the food to be underwhelming for the price. Being a block away from the beach offered a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere, free from the noise of beachfront activities, while being close enough for quick access. Overall, we highly recommend the Hilton Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Waikiki. Read less

We were there to enjoy our honeymoon for 10 days: **Short Version:** Four stars? More like a cosmic joke. It’s a solid 1-2 star experience. Save yourself the trouble and run! **Pros:** 1. **Location:** Sure, it’s a stone’s throw from Waikiki Beach. Perfect for when you want to flee the hotel and never look back. 2. **Convenience:** They’ve got that hot/cold fountain water for when the tap feels too mainstream. 3. **Valet Service:** A bright spot—these folks know how to park a car. 4. **Housekeeping:** They do a decent job **Cons:** 1. **No Points for Hilton Members:** Book through Costco? Say goodbye to those precious Hilton points. It’s like they’re punishing you for being thrifty. 2. **Outdated Facilities:** Welcome to the ‘80s—dust is practically a decorative feature. 3. **Misleading Ocean View:** Get ready for a sliver of ocean blocked by skyscrapers. Mostly, it’s a parking lot panorama—what a steal! 4. **No Microwave:** Need a microwave? That’s $50 for a week. Might as well cook on your car engine. Oh, sorry, forgot you can’t access it, go head to tip the valet to bring it down to you. 5. **Laundry Facilities:** Dirty machines, $4 a spin, and your clothes remain a soggy mess. Who needs dry clothes anyway? 6. **Parking:** - Valet-only for a mere $55/day before tax. Because self-parking is so last century. - The valet drop-off is a circus act—good luck not getting trampled. 7. **Balcony:** Tiny, dirty, and equipped with two flimsy chairs. Prepare for an uncomfortable, non-private balcony experience. 8. **Sofa:** A masterpiece of stains and wear—a living exhibit of neglected furniture. 9. **Bed Bugs:** Because nothing says luxury like sharing your bed with critters. 10. **Refrigerator:** The fridge is a relic and the closet door doesn’t close—adds to the room’s historic charm. 11. **MAC Restaurant:** Greasy food, undrinkable coffee, and servers who can’t be bothered. A 20% discount? Still not worth it. 12. **Resort Fee:** Reduced to $20 from $45 via Costco, but still a scam. The so-called amenities are a joke: - DVD rental with a selection from the Stone Age. - Magic shows that make your money disappear—$100 a pop. - Strict rules for basic amenities: one free towel/chair per room; more? Pay up $15 each. 13. **Dirty Ice Machine:** Ice with a side of grime. 14. **Hairdryer:** Moldy and disgusting—just what you wanted. 15. **Bathroom Lights:** Ingeniously designed to keep the bedroom illuminated all night—who needs sleep? 16. **Shower:** Water temperature surprises to keep your shower experience thrilling.
