The hotel is under some construction. Jack hammers can be heard from your room as well as the adult pool area. It starts at 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. After noticing this I had to move to beach area. My family of 4 LOVED this hotel. It Definitely reflects the Four Seasons brand and name well. We stayed here for 5 days and the entire stay was pretty much flawless. My family of 4 LOVED this hotel. It Definitely reflects the Four Seasons brand and name well. We stayed here for 5 days and the entire stay was pretty much flawless. It is expensive, yes, but I do feel that you get what you pay for. Rooms were comfortable and big. The staff are so helpful, omnipresent and friendly. They all seem very happy to work there and genuinely want you to have a great stay and to get you whatever you need to make it so. Bell staff was amazing. Valet parking was super fast and easy to request your car by calling, using the app, or the iPad in the room. The hotel location is great- it is about 30-45 minutes from Honolulu, but that is in my opinion is a huge benefit, as it makes it feel like you are on one of the quieter islands while still having easy access to everything on Oahu. Plus there is a small strip mall across the street which has some great restaurants and shops. And you can easily drive either direction to get to a CVS or a grocery store, etc. Ko Olina itself is just stunningly gorgeous…. turquoise water, soft sand, palm trees everywhere, and the massive lagoon(s) have very small waves, making it ideal for kids and for swimming and paddle boarding. Pools are all great and all serve their own purposes. The kids pool has a neat “sand” area which was fun. The family pool was huge and relaxing. The adult pool looked like heaven with an infinity edge, I couldn’t go there with our kids but man did it look nice. We got a lovely welcome to the hotel with leis, a welcome drink, and then in the room fresh fruit and a bunch of toys and treats for the kids. Food was delicious, perhaps the only one thing that could be improved on was the breakfast buffet. It was good, just very expensive and not at the same caliber as everything else at the hotel, in our opinion. But aside from that, the food was awesome. Pool menu was good and everything was so fresh-tasting. Mina’s Fish House is a great setting, cool menu and delicious food. There are kids menus everywhere- the whole place is very kid-friendly. It was very easy to make requests on the app or the iPad in the room. I clicked a few buttons for kid sized robes, extra bottled water, extra towels and an orthopedic pillow and everything was promptly set up and arranged in the room for us quickly and for no extra cost. The one and only issue we had with the room was that the pull-out sofa was not comfortable at all. But that was easily fixed- the hotel simply brought up two rollaway beds, one for each of my kids, and then we didn’t give it another thought. Housekeeping here was awesome, maybe among the best I’ve ever seen. Every day it was like walking into a brand new room. And turndown was such a good refresh. One note to be aware of: we were there during the week before Christmas week, and on the last day, we overlapped with the full holiday vacation crowd, and the hotel suddenly changed quite a bit in a lot of ways- a lot more crowded, etc. it still was lovely and well done, but things that were so effortless and easy the whole stay began taking a bit longer and there were lines for stuff and quality went down a touch. It was very noticeable. But that 100% happens everywhere and I’m not sure how to do a better job on managing the influx at a larger hotel like this, so I can’t fault the hotel for it. Read less

After visiting over 50 Four Seasons properties, I wanted to share something important about our recent stay. When you pay top dollar for an oceanfront room, you don’t expect to end up overlooking busy pools, with noise everywhere. After complaining, we were offered a "better" room—partial oceanfront, not even what we booked—and told it might still be noisy from events. So much for an upgrade. Feels like a scam. Late check-in after weeks of notice, a room reeking of bleach, and disorganized service after a long flight. The spa? Fully booked by outsiders. The kids club? Waitlisted—for a Four Seasons! La Hiki food? 4/10 at $$$ pricing. This isn’t luxury; it’s chaos. I’ve stayed at every Four Seasons in Hawaii—this is the worst. You judge the room photos for the oceanfront room. This is scam. Here's what happened: We booked an oceanfront room ($2200+ per night). After a long flight, we arrived to: Room wasn't ready When it was finally ready - strong bleach smell "Oceanfront" view? More like "front row seats to noisy family pools" I reached out to management. Their solution? A different room that was actually a downgrade from what we paid for, with a "heads up" about potential wedding noise. Oh, and less ocean view than our original booking. Look, I get that hotels have off days. But at $2200+ a night: Your room should be ready when promised "Oceanfront" should mean oceanfront Basic luxury services (spa, kids club) shouldn't be "fully booked" Having visited every Four Seasons in Hawaii, this feels like a different hotel wearing the Four Seasons name. I'm writing this because I wish someone had been this direct with me before I booked. Photos attached so you can judge the "oceanfront" view yourself. P.S. If you've booked or are considering booking, make sure to: Triple check your room location Book spa months in advance (seriously) Have backup plans for kids activities Trying to help you avoid the surprise I had. GolfAhoy got us the pay for three nights and the fourth night is free deal. Another appreciated GolfAhoy perk was the inclusion of free breakfasts daily during our stay. The hotel's proximity to premier golf courses, especially the Ko Olina course makes it a great choice for golf travelers. The staff are welcoming and polite. Food and waiter service is a 10 out of 10. My only negative observation concerns the ugly food spill stains on the slate surrounding the main pool chaise lounges. Read less

Every food venue was perfect and we tried them all. The service was terrific, the breakfast was always timely and plated well. The buffet has a wide variety if you choose to go that route.
