We had the VERY BEST time here at the Fairmont! I'm not sure what was better, the resort itself? Or the staff? All was just amazing. We just had an exceptional time and very likely THE MOST PLUSH and BEAUTIFUL RESORT we've ever visited! We just had an exceptional time and very likely THE MOST PLUSH and BEAUTIFUL RESORT we've ever visited! The ocean was so close, we actually just had to upgrade our room to get even closer to the ocean, the villas had their own pool too! Special shout out to Tara and Ronnie and Nick who assisted us with the upgrade! NICEST ALOHA SPIRIT! We are definitely coming back soon! Hopefully spring of 2026! Read less

We have been coming to the Kea Lani for 20 years. This is our go to vacation spot. Our 4 children have grown up here. There is no better hotel in Maui and I hope to keep coming back for the next 20 years! This hotel never disappoints. There are so many resorts who refer to customers as guests, but this was truly the first time that I felt like an actual guest. The resort is beautiful and comfortable, but the customer service is simply outstanding. Every single individual we encountered - from the front desk to housekeeping and engineering to staff in the restaurants, pools, and beach, to security after we left (and left an item behind) -- were just exceptionally professional, kind, helpful and fun. We were amazed at how everyone remembered our names and preferences, and made us feel comfortable and actually welcome. We would go back here in a heartbeat. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Whales Whales Whales!!

The best hotel we've stayed at. It was January and we saw whales from shore and on our canoe and kayak trip. The building design and decor is over the top beautiful with every detail thought out. Staff friendly and attentive. Nice beach and pools. Snorkeling with turtles. Whales went right under our kayak! Sunsets are breath taking.

Pros: -We traveled with two little kids. This was a very good hotel for families. They had a nice kiddie pool, beach and pool toys easy to purchase and kids under five eat free at most of the restaurants. They also gave us cribs, diaper pail and baby bath tub which was appreciated. -The rooms are recently renovated - very spacious and nice. -Beautiful lobby. -the beach was nice and calm -they offer a free complimentary shuttle to anywhere in Wailea which was helpful and convenient. -free laundry machines though you have to purchase detergent at the market. -breakfast buffet had a good variety Cons: -on our day of checkout, we called ahead two hours in advance to schedule a bellman to help us with luggage. Not only did they never show up but they didn’t even answer the phone when we called a few times in the next 15 minutes. This resulted in a very unnecessarily chaotic check out experience. -Gym was okay, not great. It wasn’t as big as it needed to be for the number of guests trying to use it. The AC in the gym was completely insufficient and barely improved after we complained many times. The humidity and lack of AC felt unsanitary. They didn’t have many fitness classes either. -the onsite market was horrible. There were long lines at most times and the service was extremely slow. They had almost no snacks available for purchase, really only chocolate gifts and a few bags of chips. -the beach staff were extremely unfriendly. They also packed up the chairs very early in the afternoon which felt very abrupt. Overall, we would come back because the suites were so appreciated but I hope management can address some of these concerns. Read less
