In a hillside woodland setting close to the entrance to Yosemite National Park, Rush Creek Lodge offers warm, friendly service and a wealth of activities. You can hire a bike, enjoy a yoga class, relax by the pool or play a game of bumper pool! Enjoy the fresh California cuisine at the lodge’s two restaurants — both with al fresco seating for the warmer days. Choose between the rustic yet stylish Restaurant with its wood-burning oven and open kitchen, or the more casual Tavern with its big screen TVs, signature cocktails and evening music. There's also daily activities, from wildlife talks and kids crafts to beer tasting - and the lodge's nightly tradition of complimentary s'mores by the fire pit.

Great Yosemite escape

Fantastic staff, rooms, spa, location, and food. We truly could not have asked for a better experience. The staff is friendly and helpful. Fantastic staff, rooms, spa, location, and food. We truly could not have asked for a better experience. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our room, a villa, had amazing views and a beautiful balcony as well as a fireplace, a microwave and mini fridge and fantastic shelves and hooks for our gear. The spa was not large but had many offerings: a sauna, mineral spa, sensory room, etc. The resort is very close to the Yosemite entrance with lots of hiking nearby. The restaurant had a good variety of food, a full bar, and quality ingredients. We can’t wait to return! Read less

We enjoyed everything about our stay. The location and amenities are great, our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Every detail had been tended to. The good: - Amazing property. Gorgeous, close to the park entrance, and spacious rooms. - Excellent for kids - zip lines, games, pool. - Spa family time is great fun and a unique offering. - Overall, staff is pleasant. Spa and general store staff in particular were great. The not good: - The food is awful, with breakfast and lunch as the worst offenders. I recommend finding the things that can be the least messed up (charcuterie, burrata, grilled cheese). We found the food served at Curry Village to be far superior and affordable, which is really saying something. And it is ridiculously expensive. Interestingly, the special Christmas menu was the best and most interesting- like a completely different chef appeared and made it. - The king beds are so hard. Oddly the twin beds are much more comfortable. - The gas fire as a heater os great aesthetically, but expect a jump scare in the middle of the night when it turns on. - There were often 1-3 items broken in the game room and the pool and/or hot tub out of service. - Some of the morning kids crafts are extremely basic. I wouldn’t rely on those to keep your kids entertained for long at any age. - I found the recreation employees to be very responsive to what you were asking for, but I would have expected them to be a bit more forthcoming with recommendations or probing questions. Holiday joy at Rush Creek
Dec 23, 2024Steve C
We've been to Rush Creek several times before, and we love the experience, the friendly service throughout, the food, and just the overall ambience, and then couple that with the holiday decorations. This was our first time here during the holidays, and it was just a wonderful time!
