The San Diego Pendry never disappoints! Lauren and Sammy at the front desk checked me in, they were very personable and sweet. Best of luck to Sammy on her training! Savannah out waiter at Lionfish was excellent and very helpful and well versed in the menu.

The rooms are not spectacular but are more than adequate with one unique feature, a shower with 3 of the four walls all glass including one looking into the bedroom. Don’t worry, there’s a drape for those of us who are not exhibitionists. Also, the rooms are spotless. The restaurants are great…. The Provisional serves an outstanding breakfast and in the evening has a lovely ambience. We also had a fine meal at the Lionfish , which offers seafood, others and sushi. The only negative is that the hallways to the rooms are, honest to God, grim. The interior designer must have died before they got to that part of the job. Guys, put up some nice pictures of historic San Diego or something! Two unique perks of the hotel that we did not avail ourselves of were free loan of a guitar ( I play the piano and they don’t offer that) and free use of a Cadillac for 4 hours. Read less

Gorgeous property, well maintained and friendly staffed. Highly recommend. Location is close to trolley and easy to get around. Multiple restaurants to choose from. Check out the complimentary guitar you can check out for extra ambiance!
