I wasn’t going to leave a review but since the hotel itself has asked for one, here it is. Stay just about anywhere else. We stayed in a marina suite which has a sofa bed and a regular bed separated by a pocket door. For anybody else with small children who go to bed early, this is not the room for you. The pocket door is paper thin and in our case didn’t align with the door frame leading to a gap on the bottom half. A more unfortunate gap was also present on the outside door leading to light and cold air blowing in from around the door. I had to put a towel in the gap to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. The sofa bed was even more terrible than expected. The springs were either broken or loose to the point that there was about a 10-15 degree slant from the foot to the head of the bed. The couch cushions had burst seams so the insides were coming out. The bathroom sink had a large bolt protruding from the bottom which is not great when you have a toddler who is just about eye level to the bolt. Other than that though the staff were very nice and welcoming. We didn’t use the the spa facilities at all so I can’t comment on that. In summary this is a purported 4 star resort which felt more like a cheap roadside motel. Given the wide assortment of other hotels in the same area I don’t know why we’d stay here again. Read less

We really enjoyed our brief one night stay at The Hyatt Mission. The rooms are updated, beautiful, and clean. The property grounds are stunning-we felt like we were in Hawaii. The location can't be beat being 13 minutes away from the airport, right next to Sea World, and easy access to Mission Beach and downtown. We didn't take advantage of… Read more

The location can't be beat being 13 minutes away from the airport, right next to Sea World, and easy access to Mission Beach and downtown. We didn't take advantage of the two options to eat on property, but will when we return with our kids. We had a balcony Oceanview room and it was so nice to drink coffee while looking at the water and hearing the playing families in the pools. I really thought this was a special hotel and look forward to returning. Read less

It was an amazing hotel experience for a conference. Everyone was so kind and helpful and went above and beyond. The food was outstanding. I would highly recommend all aspects of the experience from start to finish. Lots of onsite things to do.

The slide!! Free kids drinks. The view from the room! Fire pits! And walking distance from Belmont park. What a trip! The staff was so nice in the front! The restaurant over the water was so picturesque. I guess it could get small quickly so would not stay for more than 2 days. But those 2 days will be great. We just did an overnight with full… Read more

It has 2 TVs. Perfect for families. There’s not a lot to eat onsite-but if you drive 2 mins down to Midway and Sports Area you can find so many restaurants and stores. Also, there are eateries on the marina. The pools are great. The water slides do close earlier than the pool itself. The kids bar was has free soda, shirley temples, lemonade and iced tea. If you’re staying in the marina suites, it easier to do self-parking, as the lot is in front of your building. The fridge in the room was actually roomy. Small but we were able to hold drinks, snacks, fruit and salads for the week. Location is minutes from SeaWorld, 15 mins from the S.D zoo and so close to Belmont Park(I wish we could walk). The suites are in a building next door, but I was still very safe. You need your key card to access the building. Lastly, the airport is in the middle of the city. It unavoidable anywhere. that you’re under the flight path. Now, my family didn’t notice and did enjoy tracking to see where the flights were going and coming. If you’re sensitive you might not like this. Our family had such a great time, we can’t wait to go back. Read less
