The concierge, Adriano helped us book transfers to and from the hotel and truly went out of this way to make help us and make us feel welcome and cared for. Chuck was our transport driver and was very good at staying in touch throughout our day until time for pick up. Our only hiccup was Chuck canceled on us last minute for one transfer. But everything else was so great, we agreed to extend grace to him for this. Read less

We evacuated from the Palisades fire to the Shore hotel on January 7. They could not have been nicer. They were kind, accommodating and very helpful. Tony, who helps guests move in, is amazing. We evacuated from the Palisades fire to the Shore hotel on January 7. They could not have been nicer. They were kind, accommodating and very helpful. Tony, who helps guests move in, is amazing. The young woman at the front desk was astute to our needs and so helpful. We were the last guest to get a room that night so they were very busy and they still couldn’t have been kinder. Our cars were filled with our possessions and we had two expensive bikes on the back of our car. The parking staff were so kind. They parked our car with the bikes where they could see it and gave us comfort that our remaining items would be safe. The hotel is at a great location and the room was quiet with a beautiful view. We had an early morning flight into LA for a quick weekend getaway. When we arrived at the hotel, we had hoped that we could have them hold our luggage until we were able to check in. However, much to our surprise, Ally was able to find us a room and whoa was it nice with a gorgeous beach view. After dropping off our bags, we walked back through the lobby and had our first interaction with Adriano, concierge extraordinaire! He recommended a couple great brunch spots - the first of many great recommendations throughout the weekend. Every person we interacted with at the hotel was friendly and knowledgeable from the house team to Ally and Adriano. Always welcoming us back with smiles when we returned from our daily adventures. Thank you all! We will definitely be back! Read less

Not only is this hotel located directly across the street from the beautiful Santa Monica beach, but what actually made this one of THE best hotels I've stayed at was the EXCEPTIONAL customer service from the staff!! Upon arrival we were greeted by Ramon Jimenez, who turned out to be one of THE best hotel employees we have ever come across. He took the time to learn all of our names (and used them every time he saw us in the hotel), provided my kids with a welcome gift - which no other hotel has ever done, and followed up with several emails with things to do in the area, restaurant recommendations, etc. The rest of the hotel staff was super attentive to our needs, including the concierge gentleman who gave great recommendations, the evening hotel front desk gentleman who sent up extra bedding to keep us warm and the security personnel who always made us feel safe on the property. The hotel is also within walking distance of dozens of fabulous restaurants, Target, Trader Joes, and lots of other places you feel familiar with while traveling. Coming from someone who used to live in LA 25 years ago and very familiar with the 'stand-off-ish' attitude that you typically receive from LA locals, this was definitely a refreshing experience! For a moment it felt like I was surrounded by super nice Midwestern folk -- with the added benefit of the ocean, sunshine and warm weather! I would HIGHLY recommend staying at this hotel while visiting the LA area (and booking directly with the property gave us a better deal, than the other travel websites). Read less

Hotel is very clean and cozy. Great location. Close to very good restaurants. We got a welcomed gift: champagne, candy, and a card. Breakfast was excellent. Concierge Adriano and manager Michael were very professional and helpful. We definitely will come back!
