I deleted my first review because I hate leaving bad reviews. But I feel this is important to share. For anyone who has stayed in other Fairmont Gold floors, you probably know to expect personalized service, fresh fruit and snacks throughout the day, a nice selection of canapés and beautiful desserts in the evening, an exceptional breakfast spread in the morning, and special enhancements and surprises. Unfortunately, this gold lounge offered none of that. Breakfast was very standard. Evening canapés were just some fried food bites, Caesar salad, and a platter of meat, cheese, and vegetables. The “dessert service” was a plate of cold chocolate chip cookies. They offered canisters of snacks (candy, crackers, etc) throughout the day, which were emptied and not refilled by the evening. This wasn’t a horrible experience, but absolutely nothing like our experiences at other Fairmonts. And hard to justify the additional cost for the gold floor. I would steer clear of the gold floor and use the additional cost on a nice meal in Boston. Read less

It was our first visit back to Copley in several years. We were excited but apprehensive about whether things had changed. Could the hotel be as wonderful as we remembered? The answer was a resounding YES! From the moment we were greeted until check out, the people at Fairmont did everything possible to make our stay welcoming, comfortable and memorable. Our room was made available ahead of time after we enjoyed lunch in Oak Long Bar. The valet attendant ran back to our car to retrieve the sunglasses we had forgotten. There was a slight hiccup with an overzealous service matter for which the manager called us to apologize about and rectified on the spot. It is an amazing property but one which would be only a shell without the dedicated staff who do everything possible to ensure an amazing and relaxing stay. We had such a great time, we got back home and rebooked another long weekend. Read less

We were very disappointed in our stay this time at the Fairmont Copley. We stayed in a 1 bedroom king suite w living room over looking Copley #233. The carpet in the room needs to be tightened there were areas it was so lose you could trip, stains on the window seat fabric, the bathroom was an ice box no heat vent in the bathroom and the window was drafty and the marble floor freezing! We stayed for 3 days. Didn’t get maid service once, or turn down service!. Day 2 I called to inquire and they stated guests have to “call” to request turn down. It’s a 5 star hotel this should be automatic, especially paying 1k a night! Maid/cleaning service we also never saw. I had to call for fresh towels, coffee k-cups, room service cart to be taken out and trash removed. The remotes didn’t work. When you pay for a luxury product you should expect excellence, it was far from this. Staff was friendly, location primo.. super let down on quality and we are chill easy going people. Read less

We recently stayed at the Fairmont Copley after spending the day at the Museum of Fine Arts. What a fantastic hotel! Our room was beautiful, clean and quiet. The Oak Room Bar and restaurant was excellent. What a beautiful hotel with great service!
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Gold floor is worth every penny. Rudy is perfect.

The staff is exceptional, the Gold floor is definitely worth it. I would specifically like to single out Rudy, the Gold floor attendent. He is knowledgeable, as well as an exceptional problem solver. He is definitely under-employed. You have a gem with him. Multi-lingual, guest-ceneteted, and exactly what this brand needs more of. Rudy is a star.
