I was taken here as a surprise birthday trip in November for 12 days and had the most relaxing time. The staff were incredible and the location / resort was stunning. The website doesn't show its full potential, there's so much more to see and do whilst there. We had rum tasting with Ravi in the tree house followed by a beautiful dinner of local cuisine. There were DJ's at sunset on the beach and live music in the Palm bar. We spent most days at the Adult only beach where Saif & Kumar looked after us so well. They quickly learned our favourite drinks, which sun loungers we preferred and even put a cold towel in the ice box each day after I did so on the first occasion. These little things made the trip even more relaxing. The birds make cute little nests in the trees above the pool and their song was so sweet. There's a lovely hammock in the sea to cool off from the sun. Evening started by sitting at the main bar where Kevish mixed our drinks and when not serving others made time to chat away. He is a super chap. Inti restaurant was out of this world, Melvin was like an explosion of excitement and couldn't do more to make sure we enjoyed the evenings spent there. We had great fun laughing with Melvin and team. The bar served Pisco sours (the best I've ever tried) and had some funky DJ's in their garden area. We went to a White party with a set menu the first time, my Partner cannot eat fish but they had no issue with changing his menu to make it just as enjoyable. This food is stunning! We also loved the main restaurant and although I would rarely choose to eat from a buffet, I couldn't recommend it more. Everything was fresh and covered all tastes and requirements. The Turkish restaurant was also lovely where we enjoyed a dinner and late lunches. We booked a driver, Vejay to take us out for a day exploring the island. Highly recommend this, we went to the temples, volcano, 7 colours earth and waterfalls. His local knowledge and stories of life on the island added so much value to the trip. We also asked the hotel to arrange a private boat for a day as we didn't fancy sharing with 30 other people. Snorkelling in the Reef, drinking homemade Rum in the shallows, checking out the sea waterfall and dolphin spotting were some of the highlights. *Note, the smaller boats can get everywhere, however the larger shared boats struggle to get to some of the unique area's and had to transfer people onto small boats to gain access to the waterfall etc. So glad we choose a smaller private option. The suite we had was dreamy, the balcony had a bath tub and option to open the rain shower up to use outside aswel as in. Little treats were left each day including beach bags, water bottles and flowers. Again, you couldn't ask for better service, the staff all truly wanted to please us. Lovely little shop onsite which very reasonably pricing, I purchased 2 dresses, jumpsuit and various other items. Lovely quality. Things to bare in mind: There is no-where within walking distance to have drinks or meals locally to the resort, the alcohol is expensive so opt for the 'All inclusive' option. We regreted not doing this. Nothing is open past 11pm. We found everyone would eat and then go to bed, not an issue but there isn't a big late night vibe. Check out the spa menu before you arrive, I'd have loved a pre-sunshine treatment but we couldn't get into the spa for the first 4 days due to demand. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Lovely honeymooning spot

Jan 21, 2025 bryndlewindle London, United Kingdom

A lovely honeymoon stay. Great location, lovely staff. Food was great, although would have liked a few more Mauritian options (the creole smokehouse was the best). Lovely extra treats as we were celebrating; cocktail making, canapés, special dinners. A lovely spot to spend a special few days
