In the Baa Atoll, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 30 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

There were so many great staff on this Island and sorry not to thank each person individually but also Sommelier Reetif, Hassan from the Lagoon Bar and Goodie ( nickname ) sorry big guy would have miss- spelt your name. Our thanks for all the great work and super meals and chats. The Island in short is up there with the best of them with lots of Restaurants and your own space. vakkaru is a very decent hotel for a wonderful holiday! In this luxury resort we felt that they take care of us as the closest and most beloved people! We liked that the island is very green, you feel like in the jungle, through which there are paths where you can walk, or ride bicycles or an electric golf cart. The villa is not very big, but very elegant, a beautiful bathroom with everything you need. Opposite our villa there was a house reef where you could go snorkeling and a large lagoon, where we swam for several hours a day! There are 4 restaurants, we liked the Asian Onu with a large selection of dishes and the Italian Isoletta most of all, with excellent pizza like in Italy from a real oven! There is also a bar with Japanese cuisine and a grill on the shore. In addition, the hotel hosts a dinner buffet party once a week, a lobster dinner on the beach, and many options for romantic dinners and more, as well as an excellent selection of wines, you can even visit the wine cellar with a professional sommelier. The hotel also has a very good spa located on the water. But the main attraction of Vakkaru is the staff! It is impossible to list everyone who made our holiday wonderful, everyone tried to fulfill our every wish with a smile. Especially Thanks to our butler Longey, who knows how to draw beautiful pictures with sand and constantly took care of us, to the roomboy Imma for cleanliness and attention to detail, to the massage therapist Putu for high professionalism, to the chef Kay for the most delicious lobster thermidor cooked for my birthday and always bright and delicious Asian dishes, to the entire staff of the Amaani restaurant for wonderful Maldivian breakfasts that were served to us every day at our request! My wife and I had a wonderful experience at Vakkaru. The natural beauty, ambience, and service were spectacular. Fathih was our butler extraordinaire. Hamed at Splash took us snorkeling with sea turtles. Loved Yaz, Putri, other servers.
