We went to Dhigali for our honeymoon and chose this resort due to the high dining experiences and unrestricted a la carte - we are so glad we chose Dhigali for our honeymoon! As soon as we arrived at the airport we were met by a member of the Dhigali team and our seaplane transfers were seamless with no stress. On arrival to the resort it was paradise. The staff greeted us and we were lucky to have Hadhoum as the first member of staff we interacted with - she remembered us throughout our stay and always checked we had no problems. The resort is extremely well maintained, beautiful and clean. The team clearly work extremely hard. Room- We started in one of the beach rooms (118) and this was a lovely room with a beautiful view on the beach. On arrival to the resort we saw how many fish were swimming around the reef water villas and upgraded for the end of our stay. The water villas are very spacious and modern (and have an inside bathroom!). House reef- There are many areas around the resort for snorkelling. The reef around near East bar and also on the other side at Haali have a great variety of sea-life. There are many small reef sharks swimming around. The snorkelling gear provided on the resort was easy to collect. Dining- We ate at the a la carte restaurants every night but one and the food was amazing. All restaurants have a very high level of service with an extremely hard working team. Faru at lunch was always enjoyable with equally amazing service. Food was always fresh and enjoyable. Excursions- For the included excursions we did the glass bottom boat and dolphin tour, we would recommend both! We were lucky enough to see a large pod of dolphins (around 30) during the trip! We paid to do the manta ray and turtle trip with eurodivers and wow, what an unforgettable trip!! We were lucky to snorkel with both manta rays and turtles. Our guide (Manaaf) was extremely kind, and always made sure we were safe in the water. He made the trip one of the highlights of our amazing stay. Team- The entire team at Dhigali are a credit to the resort and work tirelessly for tourists to have an enjoyable stay. The GM Christian is very approachable, and we had many conversations with him during our stay. He went around the multiple restaurants every evening to check everyone was okay. Return home- The team sorted our transfers and this was as stress free as arrival. We did however upgrade to the lounge but it appears this wasn't needed. In summary Dhigali is a true paradise and excellent value for money. I will always recommend this resort and thank the team for an unforgettable honeymoon. Read less

On arrival by seaplane to Dhigali we were greeted with a warm welcome by Chris and his team. This friendly vibe continued throughout our stay, staff knew our names, and were attentive to every detail ensuring we had the best experience. We stayed in room 328 which was a great location and close to all the amenities. It was cleaned to perfection every day by Watty, and was very spacious, great bathroom and big comfortable bed. We enjoyed fabulous food in every restaurant, the variety was excellent, but our standout meals were in Jade. The coffee shop was a nice touch and a good stop off after an early morning walk. The spa is very tranquil, we enjoyed massage and facials with Gusti and Wanda. You can smell the spa before you see it, beautiful fragrance fills the air. It’s a must during your stay. The dive centre is well equipped and immaculate. Managed by Greg and his team. During our stay my partner enjoyed 18 dives seeing shark, manta, turtles and more. His dive instructor Franzi was fantastic ensuring he had the best experience. The boat crew were very attentive. If you’re not a diver like me the snorkelling is also great, seeing turtles, sting rays loads of beautiful fish and even a fair sized shark. I had the need to see a doctor during our stay, this was organised promptly for me and the island doctor was very thorough, he prescribed medication and said he would contact me in 48 hours for my progress, which he did and my symptoms were cleared. The sunset at Halli bar is spectacular, a great way to finish the day with a cocktail and seeing the sea glimmer like liquid gold as the sun fades. Dhigali is immaculate and constantly being tended to by the team of staff who work very hard. All their efforts ensured we had a fantastic, relaxing holiday and we would highly recommend Dhigali for your next adventure. Read less

This is the second time we had our winter holiday in Dhigali. This time we spent Christmas there to suit our granddaughter’s school term. This is the first Christmas we are away from home. We had an amazing Christmas celebration. Beautiful decorations, lovely events, presents from Santa for kids, lovely Christmas bus, impressive music band, champagne, top rank Christmas gala dinner- King crab legs, giant King prawns, oysters, scallops. The best seafood and meat on grill, roast… this is an unforgettable Christmas for us. For our granddaughter Mimi, she is 8. The teachers in kids club and snorkelling instructor Fransi, they are amazing, she loves spending time with them very much. This holiday is a treasure memory in her life. We enjoyed this holiday so much, the joy and happiness is beyond the value for money. We have been Maldives many times, and stayed in good resorts. We always like to see different islands. The reason for us to come back to Dhigali is we cannot fault it. The beautiful island, the lovely villas, top quality mini bar, the amazing food ( you can have tuna sashimi at every lunch ), their pastry’s chef skills can challenge any one in London. There are 4 restaurants for you to choose from to dine with great service and friendly staff. Two trips are free: dolphin watching, we saw hundred dolphins dancing in front of us. And glass boat, they have Arranged a Santa Hunt where we can spot him on our glass bottom boat. Most of all, the general manager Chis and his team work so hard to make this resort special. Thank you all From Shasha Brian and Mimi Read less

We visited Dhigali 30th Dec for 9 nights. From the moment we stepped off of the seaplane the welcome was wonderful. The resort is lush and tropical. The staff are outstanding. Everyone without exception was welcoming, smiling and doing their best to deliver polite and friendly service. Nothing was too much trouble. This comes from the top down. The GM Chris Szabo is extremely personable and very visible. He makes the effort to visit each restaurant every day, is always walking around the resort, always saying hello and stopping for a chat. He’s the most affable and approachable GM we’ve met in the Maldives. All of the staff seemed happy in their environment. Many having worked there from when the resort first opened. Which speaks volumes. Kumar is a delight and such a gentleman, again, offering top service. Laamiu and Tiari (sorry if I’ve spelt that wrong) were amazing, very attentive, super friendly and hard working. Softy on reception is lovely. The guys at East Bar are efficient, friendly and offer great service. As does the lovely lady in the wonderful Haali Bar. Even when it rained the gentleman responsible for ensuring the beach area was clean at Haali Bar threw on a raincoat and kept raking the sand. The resort is spotless. We were in a water villa with a pool (room 711). It was in an ideal location for Haali Bar at sunset. I don’t think we’ll find a better sunset bar. The restaurants are great and it’s wonderful not to be limited to only one visit per stay etc. Thank you to all of the team for a wonderful stay and working so hard. We hope to return. Read less

The resort, staff and food were all excellent. We met Chris Sazebo, the boss, on a number of occasions because he was everywhere checking on everything. If there was a tech glitch recently on a desert atoll in the middle of the Indian Ocean they would have done everything to fix things as quickly as possible and make sure it doesn't happen again.
