Read less

Wonderful vacation on a lovely Island, with beautiful beaches. Staff are friendly and helpfull, special thanks to Hassan and all the other kind people that took good care of us. If we could recommend a change, ban the jetskies, it is noisy and disturbing and does not belong in a beautiful and peacefull place like the Maldives.

Once on the island, you're given access to an app, where bookings for meals in the a-la-carte restaurants can be made. Capers is the main buffet style restaurant, food and service excellent. The staff were welcoming, polite, and friendly. We love snorkelling and saw some glorious fish, don't forget a swim shirt as the sun can be ferocious. The Haali bar was the place to be to watch the sunsets, although extremely hot until the sun went down. All in all, we would recommend this island without hesitation. Truly magical.. Read less

I would like to write a better review for this island resort but there are just so many reasons I can't. The overwhelming sense of doom every day was just too much for us to deal with and we had a miserable experience. I will run down the list in full. 1. The staff in the office and certain restaurants were terrible and need to be trained to do their job. They clearly did not know what they were doing and did not know even who their own boss was. 2. The pictures of the island are photo shopped and look nothing like the real island that is in a mess and needs serious attention and work. 3. They need to hire more help if they are to make their hotel look like their photos and not fool guests into coming onto their island. The upkeep is shotty. 4. We stayed on the over water bungalows and our room was incredibly small and the bed was like a rock and the pillows were like a rock. It was so very hard to get any sleep while we were there. I am so happy to be home in my own bed where I can get eight hours. I don't know where they got these beds but they made a serious mistake. 5. The balcony and pool area of our bungalow was so old I was afraid to go out on it for falling through the wood. Seriously. And the steps down into the ocean were covered in some kind of growth that I did not want to touch or put pressure on because I was afraid I would contract something. We had to go out our front door and down the wooden side walk which wasn't in much better shape to the beach and then get in the water. So very convenient for upgrading to the beach bungalow. And on hot days our plunge pool got so hot you couldn't use it because of the heat. 6.The food overall was good but nothing special and the buffet was just the same over and over with the same food being served everyday. Most days we just felt sick after eating breakfast and lunch. There was another lunch option called Faru but the waiter were so snobby and rude that we just got tired of going there and went back to the buffet. At least the waiters there were nice and polite. 7. There has a bar across the small stretch of water from our villa and every night from 5 to 7 they would pound disco and house music so loud it would make to window in our villa shake. We made several calls to the front desk but they were no help at all. We asked to make an appointment with the General Manager of the Island but he blew us off all three times we tried. My final point is that 95 percent of the clientele comes from a large country in north east asia that is at was that is currently and at war with a country that rhymes with Ukraine. They are rude, push, lazy, without manners, loud and obnoxious. They eat like pigs and think they own the island. They had a bid hand in ruining our trip. I spent 13000 and would definitely go to mexico or Tahiti and stay away from this place. Read less
