Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa

The hotel

Get ready to be transported back in time, to a late-1800s New York. With its unique charm, you'll be sure to love Disney's Saratoga Springs the moment you step foot through the front doors. Your surrounds are rolling golf course greens and the calm Lake Buena Vista - sounds tranquil doesn't it? Talking of tranquil, you can treat yourself in the spa, and enjoy evening movies under the stars. But if tranquil isn't your thing, no problem! There's pools and waterslides galore, and you can be in the hustle and bustle of Disney Springs in no time at all, it's just a short boat ride away. If you're holidaying in a family or group, opt for a villa for plenty of room for everyone - the treehouse villas are particularly fun if you've got little ones (or even if you haven't!).

We stayed in a Deluxe Studio room 1701 which is in the Carousel area of the resort, second stop on the buses returning from the parks. The room is on the ground floor, first room next to the entrance for what amounts to a 30 second walk to the bus stop. You literally could not be much closer it was perfect. The room offers a small kitchenette with a sink, mini fridge, microwave and toaster. The hvac is setup so that the blowers are closer to the bathroom and kitchen and then a ceiling fan draws in the air to the sleeping / living area. The room felt larger than other Disney motels, certainly having the kitchenette to make small breakfast was one of the main reasons we stayed here. The nearest pool is the Paddock pool, about a 2-3 minute walk away. Which has a water slide, zero entry pool and a splash pad area. The splash pad is limited to children 48" or shorter. The pool also has a grill and bar setup. You can also get towels / life jackets available for free to use. The resort has bus transportation to the parks and also circles the resort, but you can opt for the boats to Disney springs. Overall we love the resort, it's not as pricey as other deluxe stays but still get the added benefits of late evenings at Epcot and magic kingdom. Read less

This time I am rating it 4 stars though it has nothing to do with the 1 BR villa where we stayed nor the location because we spend a lot of time in Disney Springs which is nothing short of fabulous. We were booked a week stay but stayed only 2 nights out of the 7. Had a ticketing issue this weekend being a blockout on our AP. I am not going to bore you with all the details, but I was just thinking after being fiercely loyal customers for 20 of the 100 years of Disneyworld Parks & CruiseLine at that, they could've thrown us a bone for just the 1 day. I felt snubbed by guest relations in Disney Springs, and a couple of the front desk personnel back at the resort. I know it's simply being programmed to protect Disney's bottomline, but c'mon we visit Disney 3-4X a year, a little offering would've been a nice gesture on their part. BUT that's besides the point-because of wonderful cast members like Cathy & JEAN at the front desk, who just exude warmth, professionalism & a genuine caring for guests that walk-in through the lobby door. That makes us consider a return visit. We are coming back in March pre-cruise, but sadly, I am not going to renew the passes right away based on the outcome yesterday. Sorry Disney. I guess you win some, you lose some...it's just business. Read less

Room not cleaned with significant urine smell and urine stains on the wall. Wasted almost 3 hours waiting for guest services for them to offer us 100$. Had to change rooms 2 times and repack everything. Manager Joshua wasnt helpful at the all and was disrespectful. Dont stay here.

Wish I had listened to the negative reviews before committing to this hotel. I dont know if our room was worse b/c we booked through DVC points but it was dirty, tired and worn. You could hear all the doors down the hall open and close all night so none of us slept well. The pool area near us also was tired looking and not very appealing. There is really no Disney allure here as noted by other guests. For the price point you are better off with a nice moderate Disney hotel unless the Deluxe category is important to you for extended Disney hours. Location near Disney Springs is nice but not worth the lack of quality. Read less

We have stayed at this Disney resort every year for over 15 years and it has never disappointed. This is a beautiful resort just a 15 minute walk through the golf course and lake to get to Disney springs. The beds, towels and bins are changed every day and staff are always on top form and very friendly. The buses are reliable and frequent to every park, most within a 25 minute ride. The characters occasionally pay a visit to the hotel and say hello at the food gallery and shop! The shop is great selling things like merch, teddy’s, water bottles, Pandora exclusives and scrap books. There are two large pools on site which are well kept and clean. The main pool has an abundance of fun pool games and music. Both have a bar for drinks and refillables. Read less
