We booked a stay at the Sheraton Vistana Villages Resort Villas, I-Drive/Orlando from January 17 to January 31, totaling 14 nights. Upon entering the resort, we were excited given its beautiful exterior and large grounds. However, our experience took a negative turn when we entered our room and were immediately hit with a musty smell of damp and mold. Despite opening the windows to air out the suite, the smell persisted and even worsened over the next 7 nights. After 2 attempts to complain at the front desk nothing was done. We were given the runaround. We Respectfully checked out after 7 nights . 7 days early and moved to a different hotel/resort. We couldn’t stay any longer the rooms mold smell was making us feel sick. The suite was called, “small one-bedroom unit with a balcony”, equipped with a washer, dryer, kitchen with a fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. Unfortunately, all appliances were quite dated. The stovetop took an excessive amount of time to heat up, and the oven was nearly useless—it didn’t cook evenly, often burning food on the top or bottom. Baking anything was impossible. Additionally, the dryer was inefficient, requiring three cycles (about three hours) to dry a single load of laundry. The carpet in the suite was old and worn out, with piling at the edges, which added to the overall sense of neglect. On a positive note, the coffee maker worked well. The resort charges $25 a day for parking, which is excessive. The condition of the appliances, the persistent musty odor, the worn-out carpet, and the high parking costs overshadowed the resort's otherwise attractive appearance. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I cannot recommend this place for future stays. If the resort can address these issues, it has the potential to be a great place to stay. Read less

The resort was located within an easy drive to the Disney Parks, and close to a few family restaurants, as well as a grocery store. The complex had a nice pool area for the kids, and we enjoyed having a room that overlooked it. Our room was very adequate and clean. The staff was helpful and considerate. We would stay there again.

Elevator is out of order in a 5 story building. I recommend to try to get a room on a 1st floor, so you won't have to take the stairs. Kitchen appliances in our one bedroom suite should be replaced. Bed linens were worn out. Everything else was okay. Just like any hotel or resort, it has some strong points, but the elevator being out of order… Read more

First time staying at Vistana Villages but have stayed at other Marriott resorts in Orlando. This is a nice resort but there are better Marriott resorts within a few miles. Staff: They were polite BUT the front desk and lobby staff had poor communication skills. They didn't listen to customers concerns and needs and they put in minimal effort. Property Layout: it's a maze with a lot of blind spots when driving. The buildings to the front are right next to International Drive and next to helicopter pad....so expect to hear noise. The exercise facility and restaurant were not conveniently located whatsoever. Rooms: 1 Bedroom was nice, clean and had washer/dryer and comfortable bed but felt small. The walls seemed paper thin as I could hear everything next to me, unlike other nearby Marriott properties. Summary: I expect staff to be professional. They ALL did minimal effort and seemed to just want to move you along and numerous times passed the buck with no follow through. Nothing is convenient here. The property is fine but for the money I would rather stay elsewhere. Read less
