Don’t trust the pictures!

This hotel looks great online, but upon arrival we soon figured out that the pictures were nothing like the property. It is not a hotel, it is an old motel, that was redone. It was not in a desired area with even less desirable rooms. The room was old and run down with a high moisture content, which made everything (including the sheets) feel wet.… قراءة المزيد

We were so unhappy with our stay that we checked out after one night. I am very disappointed since we are owners at an IHG resort and this should have been a trip that was memorable for my birthday celebration, but instead made it for horrible vacation. Read less

Some months, the manatees are in the canal. The rooms are updated except for the bathrooms. We had a little problem with a slow drain last time. We love that they have the old-fashioned a/c unit so you can control the temperature. We are from up north, so we appreciate that. They are a little noisy but totally worth it. This hotel is super convenient to all activities, and they have a few right out on the back dock of the hotel. They have the actual African Queen from the movie in the canal. They have the original stove from it in the lobby. The outside of the hotel is unremarkable. Don't be fooled. The rooms are cute and clean. Management, please update the bathrooms soon. My wife and I just stayed at the Holiday Inn in Key Largo, again last month, and as always they Never let us down. Rick (General Manager), and his staff: JP (Hospitality), Elsie (Housekeeping), Sharika and Jenn (Front Desk), Antoine (Restaurant), and others that I can’t recall everyone’s name, but the whole staff here are outstanding! They are all extremely accommodating, professional, and courteous. My wife and I have stayed in multiple hotels in our lifetime and this hotel and staff are second to none. The location of this Holiday Inn is superb. Everything you can think of is here. The dive and fishing boats, glass bottom boat, etc are literally right outside your door. The hotel has 2 pools (one with a waterfall in it). Also in the pool area is a tiki bar which serves both drinks and food. Adjacent to Holiday Inn is Skippers Dockside restaurant. The view from their outside deck is perfect for watching the boats go by. This is quite relaxing to sit and have a drink or bite to eat and enjoy the view. The food and drinks are very good.
