This is not a 5 star resort. The Villas need upgrade and the staff better english. The food is very good and the restaurants are very nice, but a lot of mistakes from the staff in general. Dogs are staying at the resort, on the Beach and in the restaurants - thats not 5 stars

Absolutely beautiful surroundings, staff are polite and very accommodating. I wouldn't say this is a 5 star hotel though, room was nice but needs refreshing. Food was hit and miss, but overall nice. Spa was amazing, massage had me floating on air. Great excursions too. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Still currently at the resort until 29th January. We are making the best of our stay but certainly won’t be back. We came last year, and whilst we knew the resort was tired in places, it had been taken over and was under reconstruction, hence we had high hopes for the improvements that were to be made. The things that stood out last time were the fabulous food and the amazing staff. Whilst the staff remain extremely hard working and are simply wonderful, lovely people, the food is quite frankly now sub par. Whilst Laku is a definite welcome addition and of a high standard, the food at the other restaurants is often bland, uninspiring and served lukewarm/ cold. Also, the food is often not as advertised. My husband asked for a vegetarian curry which should have contained Tofu, what he got was clearly a dish made from the kitchen remnants. The same for the so called minestrone soup served in the Italian . As we are vegetarians we already have a limited choice, but a few items we tried to order were also not available. Previously the pasta and pizza were delicious, as were the Thai and Indian foods offered, but all we’ve had were clearly not to the same recipe, disappointing, flavourless and unseasoned. Both myself and my husband are already very bored of the food, not what you expect from a so called 5 star luxury experience. We came all inclusive but don’t feel we have gotten value for money this time around. The rooms remain very tired / aged and with just one bedside table ? However, Our housekeepers have been very good and our room was cleaned and restocked to a high standard daily - suite 60, however, rubbish and laundry remain lined up outside for a large part of the day. Not what you expect to see in a 5 star resort, especially as it’s such an easy fix / resolve. As others have said, there are still construction works going on. Whilst these didn’t ever interrupt our stay personally so to speak, the poor state the workers have left some of the grounds in is just unnecessary and really unacceptable for a resort which claims to be 5 star. Rubbish and materials strewn around for all to see, ruining what was a beautiful landscape. The grounds, especially around the beach area are in need of serious attention, there is lots of rubbish especially plastic waste, and the erosion guards/ banks are dilapidated and contain plastic filled sand bags which are clearly breaking g drown, as well as discarded items from the hotel. The hotel should really be considering its environmental impact much more. Overall, a very costly and disappointing stay for us this year, apart from the amazing staff who are truly beautiful warm hearted people, who work so very hard to ensure you enjoy your stay. Love Thailand but would stay elsewhere next time Read less

The resort has great pools, we had a Jacuzzi which was great when we had enough of the beach to cool down before dinner and cocktails. The food choice and variety we delicious and good servings. There are great activities in the resort, including sailing which for me was a big attraction to this resort. The day trips to tourist islands like Phi Phi island, and others are convenient and very well organised. This resort will be on out to do again list. Read less
