Jan 2025 SAii Ohi Phi Island Village Resort- Delux Garden Bungalow Wow what a lovely resort, travelled from Koh Lanta by speed boat and then by long boat to resort, accommodation was lovely all on stilts not sure if that is to keep me safe, restaurants look nice but are not cheap, just outside the entrance is the town not big but lovely restaurants at great price. We did a 1/2 day snorkling trip that was amazing, we did pay to go on Maya Beach £10 each as it did not look worth it ( you cannot go in the sea), we looked at it from the sea and snorkelled instead. Hotel has a very relaxing vibe, not enough sun beds so get up early and enjoy a little piece of paradise. Read less

Overpriced and Overrated When you book a stay at a resort advertised as a five-star luxury destination, you expect a certain level of quality and service. Unfortunately, SAii Phi Phi Island Resort falls short in many areas, leaving guests feeling deceived rather than delighted. This hotel is, at best, a 3-4 star experience that charges 5-star prices. The Price vs. Reality At €500 per night, we anticipated an exceptional experience. Had the hotel claimed four stars and charged around €150 less per night, we might have had a more satisfactory stay. Unfortunately, the disparity between expectations and reality was stark, making the overall experience disappointing. The Positives It’s important to highlight what the resort does have going for it: • Beautiful Location: Nestled in one of the most stunning parts of the Phi Phi Islands, the natural surroundings are breathtaking. • Fantastic Snorkeling: The nearby reefs are teeming with marine life, offering an unforgettable snorkeling experience. • Lively Village: Just outside the resort, the local village brims with charm, boasting excellent restaurants, relaxing massage parlors, and friendly locals. However, it’s worth noting that none of these positives are directly tied to the hotel itself—they’re simply a product of the island’s natural allure and local culture. The Negatives The actual resort experience leaves much to be desired: 1. Rooms: although we had a new renovated room it was very basic, functional, but closer to three-star standards. While clean, they lack the luxury touches you would expect at this price point. 2. Dining: The main restaurant is passable, but certainly not memorable. There’s no “wow factor” in the food or service. 3. Service: Reception staff mainly ignored you, guests often had to wait for staff to finish their “very important tasks” before receiving a greeting. 4. Deck Chairs Debacle: Perhaps the most outrageous aspect of the stay was the beach chair situation. Guests have to wake up at 7 AM to “reserve” old, cheap, and poorly maintained chairs by placing towels on them. This issue has been repeatedly raised with management, yet nothing has been done. It’s an ongoing frustration that tarnishes the experience for many visitors. What Others Are Saying This sentiment seems to be echoed Read less

We stayed at this resort as part of a multi stop trip across Thailand. We visited Thailand last year on a cruise and decided to try this option instead. We came to this resort after visiting Bangkok for 3 nights and were looking forward to a bit of r and r after the business of the city. We stayed in one of the deluxe garden view bungalows. This was fine but not really 5 star. This however was where we found most solitude in the resort. The infinity (quiet) pool was anything but with kids screaming and shouting around it. This was if you were lucky enough to get a sun bed as numbers were restricted and towels left on all day and not removed by staff. Some people ended up sitting on the grass!! The hotel itself is very expensive for Thailand thankfully we frequented the village behind which we found gave us a better Thai experience at a 3rd of the price and better service. The gym is a joke half the equipment is broken and very old. It’s a shame as the setting is lovely but this hotel is no way a 5 star maybe a 4 at best. Read less

Two good size swimming pools , but with limited loungers. We saw people with towels on the grass. Bar food Ok Small shantytown village behind which has a good feeling and where we eat when we stayed here. Breakfast not that good buffet which I hate and the beacon, sausages were cold and the eggs well steamed . plenty of Asian food and there was the egg station A good 3 + may be 4 star hotel I would stay again Read less
