This resort is NOT worth the money. My review is based on facts, leaving personal preferences aside, with the aim of helping future travellers and encouraging the hotel to address these issues and return to its former standards. The rooms are outdated and very unclean. After a long travel day, we were initially placed in a room that faced construction and garbage—far from the experience one would expect from a Beaches/Sandals property. After raising concerns, we were moved to a slightly better room, but it still did not meet expectations. Instead of views of palm trees or water, we were left looking at stray cats, garbage, construction areas, and ground-level sidewalks. The room itself was in poor condition: other people’s hair and leftover toothpaste remnants in the sink, broken glass in shower, cracked tiles, and filthy walls. The pillows were musty and old, stains on the bedding. We even found mosquitoes stuck to curtains, and holes in the curtains that appeared to have been chewed by insects or rodents. Despite bringing these issues to the attention of management, nothing was done to resolve them. Additionally, the service was slow, staff not overly friendly and the food was mediocre at best, often served cold. Activities and inclusions are poorly advertised and organized, wave rider was not functioning as advertised, the glass bottom boat also not functioning and over booked, restaurant wait times are over an hour and then service once seated is at least another hour. Overall, this was not the level of quality or care one would expect from a resort with such a strong reputation, I still can’t believe how much money was spent on this vacation and the experience that was had, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, there are far better resort brands out there. The reason for only four stars, is because there is always room for improvements, I know it’s very hard to please everyone but this resort has the capabilities to do so. Most of the staff are really friendly and accommodating. With the choices of restaurants, you can always find something you really enjoy but we didn’t like how they eliminated the Bombay Restaurant. We always recommend this resort, but as I said it’s a bit pricey and not many can afford it……. Will love to return for a 6th time…… Read less

Went here for a destination wedding and I traveled with a friend. On Turks and Caicos, I have only ever stayed at the Club Med so that is all I can compare it to. First off, it is a lovely and HUGE resort but not worth the price at all. It is roughly double the price of the Club Med and I really don't understand the price point. It is certainly NOT worth the exorbitant cost. Yes, it is all inclusive, but still. It divides itself into 4 "Villages" and I thought that by staying in a village father away from the giant waterpark, we might see less children. WRONG. It is like Disneyland; there are a trillion children everywhere. Giant double and triple strollers are being pushed around and it seemed that the place was made for kids. So, great, if you have kids, but not so great if you wish to get away from them. I had requested the quietest room possible and was led to a room literally yards from the basketball court where 10 children bounce bounce bounced noisily around. One day I left my swim goggles at the pool and they were lost; I went to the giant gift shop to get a new pair. Guess what - only kids' swim goggles, swim masks, flippers, etc. I ended up buying a stupid pair of purple-flowered kids goggles which were ridiculous. I know this is a small point, but it is basically a blueprint for how the whole place is... made for kids. I signed up to do a scuba dive and it was very average - bordering on bad. I honestly think the dive leader was totally stoned - gave us our instructions with his eyes closed, swam like a manatee moving only slightly and brought us up after only 20 minutes when everyone still had lots of air and then he face-planted on the deck of the boat. The cleaning staff and ladies in the salon were very nice and friendly but everyone else, from scuba people to waiters, servers, bartenders, pool people and other jobs all seemed bored and in a rotten mood. The food ranges from terrible to mostly OK. We had some horrible meals and a few pretty good ones. Never were able to "score" a reservation at the Hibachi place which is supposedly the place to go. I don't know how anyone got those reservations. Oh and lastly, there is no alcohol in the alcohol. You had to stick to wine or beer because the bottles of liquor were watered down to ridiculous extremes. And the claim on every brochure of "only serving the best Robert Mondavi all the time" is false. I did not see one single bottle of Robert Mondavi. They carried only various varieties of some wine I never heard of. The Turks and Caicos weather and beautiful sand beach are always wonderful so there's at least that. The pools were also nice, there are quite a few of them. They are a nice temperature and nicely done with little alcoves and waterfalls etc. However, the chair situation is horrible. Guest get up at 6am and run down and put towels on the chairs to "claim" them. If you show up at 10am, there's no chair to sit on even though 100 chairs sit empty but "claimed" around you. Some areas are marked off for certain families so clearly if you can pay EVEN MORE money, the resort will claim the chairs for you so they can sit empty with cute little towel animals folded on them to mark them as taken. The physical place seemed generally well-maintained. However on our floor, an out-of-service sign was taped to the ice machine which sat in a giant lake of water. The whole six days we were there, 3 maintenance guys tinkered in a giant hole in the wall trying to fix some pipes. Also, they are in the process of building a whole new fifth village and the construction work is LOUD. They did not put us near that, thank goodness, and hopefully they can avoid putting anyone near that. Overall, it's OK, we had a nice restful vaca once we learned the pool towel and restaurant claiming game, the wedding was done beautifully, but it is definitely not worth the price. Read less

From December 11 to December 18, we celebrated our 15th visit to Beaches Turks & Caicos, and once again, it was a vacation filled with unforgettable moments, thanks to the incredible entertainment team.
The trip began with an amazing SSG lunch at Mario’s. Ronaldo’s performance was a highlight, as his guitar playing created a warm and inviting atmosphere. He made an effort to visit tables, making everyone feel welcomed and appreciated. Sohara amazed us with magic tricks, while Julio, Jerina, Yenifer, and Dismary brought energy and joy with their dancing. Emily hosted bingo with enthusiasm, keeping everyone entertained. The evening was equally magical. We enjoyed the Sesame Street show, followed by a delicious dinner at Giuseppe’s. Family karaoke was an adorable event where kids could shine, and the main show showcased the incredible talent of the performers. Ronaldo delivered another flawless guitar performance and went out of his way to engage guests, ensuring everyone felt included and special.
Ronaldo truly stood out during this vacation. His guitar skills are exceptional, adding a special touch to every event he’s a part of. Beyond his talent, Ronaldo is a beacon of friendliness, always wearing a smile and exuding positivity. He’s incredibly knowledgeable about the resort and its events, making him a go-to person for guests seeking information or recommendations. What makes Ronaldo even more remarkable is how he connects with younger guests. His kindness and patience with kids are unparalleled—you can tell they look up to him and feel inspired by his warm demeanor. Whether he’s performing, interacting with families, or just passing by with a friendly greeting, Ronaldo embodies the welcoming spirit that keeps us coming back to Beaches.
The entertainment team remains the heart and soul of the resort. Ronaldo, Mariela, Julio, and the rest of the team continue to impress, whether during karaoke, Latin night, or the nightly shows. These shows are truly incredible. Each performer is extremely talented and that is shown throughout the shows. Roberto is amazing with the choreography and the shows wouldn’t be the same without Marisol and her incredible work with the costumes. The Hollywood show remains unmatched, even though it was moved to the lobby due to the rain. Ronaldo blows the crowd away with his amazing performance of Purple Rain. The Grease Lightning performance is so fun, and the Titanic performance at the end was beautiful, and even funny due to Andrico’s fun antics during the ship sinking part. I can’t express enough love and appreciation for this staff. Each member of this team goes above and beyond to be sure that everyone is having a good time. The nighttime events are our favorites to get to spend some more time with them. However, even during the day when we see them, they each are kind and amazing with my nephew, and he even searched for most of them throughout the day, especially Emily and Ronaldo. Their dedication and passion are evident in everything they do. We hope the amazing staff receive the recognition and support they so deserve. Special mentions go to Esmeralda at the Italian bar, who remembered me from visits as a little girl, and Daniel at the Italian pool bar, whose kind demeanor always brightens the day. My nephew especially loved Daniel’s thoughtful gestures and playful interactions. Sesame Street is amazing there, and even as an adult it is fun to see the characters walk by when you’re in the pool or just walking through the resort. The kids talent show is also adorable. My nephew finally did it this year and I think it was a highlight for all 5 of us. He also got to enjoy the Xbox room this year!
While the entertainment team remains flawless, there were noticeable issues with the dining experience and staff management. On one evening, I waited in the rain for Mario’s to open, only to find the line already stretching down to the gift shop. When I finally made it to the front, I was left standing for five minutes without being greeted or acknowledged. During this time, I observed butlers arriving and immediately securing reservations while regular guests were ignored. When I was finally helped, I was told there would be a 90-minute wait, despite overhearing butler reservations being made for much shorter times. Additionally, many familiar faces among the waitstaff and bartenders have left since our visit in April, which was disappointing. The remaining staff often seemed overwhelmed, resulting in slower service and less of the personal connection we’ve come to enjoy over the years. The long wait times at restaurants made it challenging to enjoy both dinner and the nightly shows without feeling rushed.
The resort’s beauty and the beach remain unmatched, and the Christmas decorations added a magical touch to the holiday season. However, it was evident that the entertainment staff was tasked with additional responsibilities, like decorating, which limited their time with guests. This trip reinforced why Beaches Turks & Caicos has been our vacation destination for 15 visits. While there are areas for improvement, the incredible entertainment team, especially Ronaldo, made this trip unforgettable. His talent, friendliness, and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on our family. We hope to be able to return soon and still be greeted with familiar faces that we have come to know and love.
