The hotel

On the site of the oldest cocoa plantation in St Lucia, the Rabot Hotel is definitely one for the chocoholics amongst you! Having said that, for the rare being that doesn’t delight in the dark stuff, this is pretty wonderful too. In a stunning location, with magnificent views of Gros Piton, luxurious mountainside lodges combine relaxed St Lucian charm with the ultimate in contemporary sophistication. Echoing the rich tones of freshly harvested cacao, dark woods exude cosy warmth with four-poster beds, a rainforest shower and freshly made chocolate treats (of course!) definite highlights. The spa too utilises the area’s natural treasure with a variety of creams, oils and scrubs, all made on the premises, specifically designed to harness the rejuvenating powers of the pod! You can even learn to make chocolate yourself at the Tree to Bean experience – truffle anyone? If you’re a foodie, you’re in for a serious treat at the Rabot Restaurant. Start the evening with a delicious mango, chilli and white chocolate margarita before perusing the delights on the menu, which is pioneering to say the least, exploring both the savoury and the sweet nature of chocolate. Fresh seafood is also to be found in abundance, accompanied by the finest of wines for an experience that is nothing less than sublime.

Superb rain forest location, friendly and helpful staff, wonderful breakfasts. Bedrooms are individual lodges and are not air conditioned though this isn't a problem due to the design and location. Be prepared for visits from the local bird and insect life - mosquito nets are provided for the beds. Lots of wonderful walks around the plantation.… قراءة المزيد

Wonderful stay at Hotel Chocolat. We stayed in one of the luxe Lodge offering outstanding views of Petit Piton. The bed was large and extremely comfortable. We particularly liked how spacious and open the lodges are, we slept with our doors open and it was one of the most relaxing and tranquil sleeps I have ever had in my entire life, waking up to the birds chirping & a view of the Petit Piton was certainly spectacular. For breakfast we had the saltfish and bake and French toast and it was delicious. Dinner at the Rabot Restaurant was also worth mentioning, we had the scallops and the catch of the day which were all very delicious and beautifully presented and offer value for money. The grounds are simply stunning and you lack for nothing at this resort. The bathroom and shower is very spacious and wonderful. Couple of areas for improvements: At dinner there was nobody to greet us and we walked in and waited for about 10mins for someone to approach us, waiters also saw us standing at the front (the restaurant is not huge) and just ignored us For breakfast, when we entered there was no good morning one of the waitress said whilst walking past 'you can sit on any free table'. Overall we felt the service in the restaurant could be improved as we have stayed at other resorts in St Lucia (Stonefield for example) where the dining experience was truly marvelous and always attentive Read less
