On the site of the oldest cocoa plantation in St Lucia, the Rabot Hotel is definitely one for the chocoholics amongst you! Having said that, for the rare being that doesn’t delight in the dark stuff, this is pretty wonderful too. Superb rain forest location, friendly and helpful staff, wonderful breakfasts. Bedrooms are individual lodges and are not air conditioned though this isn't a problem due to the design and location. Wonderful stay at Hotel Chocolat. We stayed in one of the luxe Lodge offering outstanding views of Petit Piton. The bed was large and extremely comfortable. We particularly liked how spacious and open the lodges are, we slept with our doors open and it was one of the most relaxing and tranquil sleeps I have ever had in my entire life, waking up to the birds chirping & a view of the Petit Piton was certainly spectacular. For breakfast we had the saltfish and bake and French toast and it was delicious. Dinner at the Rabot Restaurant was also worth mentioning, we had the scallops and the catch of the day which were all very delicious and beautifully presented and offer value for money. The grounds are simply stunning and you lack for nothing at this resort. The bathroom and shower is very spacious and wonderful. Couple of areas for improvements: At dinner there was nobody to greet us and we walked in and waited for about 10mins for someone to approach us, waiters also saw us standing at the front (the restaurant is not huge) and just ignored us For breakfast, when we entered there was no good morning one of the waitress said whilst walking past 'you can sit on any free table'. Overall we felt the service in the restaurant could be improved as we have stayed at other resorts in St Lucia (Stonefield for example) where the dining experience was truly marvelous and always attentive Read less
