The entire experience was wonderful. Our concierge, Francia was exceptional and Sebastian was a joy! There isn’t a job he would do while we were there!!! The weather was rainy, but the staff was so good about making sure we were taken care of! Thank you for a great week!

From start to finish Secrets Moroma is pure luxury and fun! The property is like summer camp for adults. From start to finish Secrets Moroma is pure luxury and fun! The property is like summer camp for adults. You can do as much or as little as you want and enjoy the gorgeous pool or lay out on the white sand and look at the turquoise water. I don't sleep well but slept perfectly in the comfortable bed and never heard anything. The rooms are well insulated. Enjoy quality food anytime day or night, enjoy yoga, spin classes, the spa, the gym, mini-golf, painting, pool, darts, tennis and so much more. The staff made us feel welcomed and well cared for. I can't wait to go back. Advice. Get the lay of the land right away. Keep in mind they offer a wide variety of food, if you get something you don't like there will ALWAYS be something you do like. Don't miss the live shows in the theater each night. Each one was so entertaining and fun. They also have karaoke and a silent disco! Read less

I wanted to give Secrets Maroma a great review but I cant. We just spent 5 days there and we wish we had not. After all the reviews before going we were excited but there were also some red flags that we tried to push out of mind. Before diving in to the meat of the review I want to give a shout out to our concierge Eli. He was AWESOME. Super nice gentleman that did everything he could to please and make you feel welcome. He was a very bright spot in an otherwise bland trip. First off, Preferred Club. It is over rated and not worth the money. We were in the Honeymoon Suite Preferred Club. There was nothing truly "special" that made you feel like you were "preferred". After you have spent money to be in Preferred Club, they still wanted you to pay extra for a Lobster dinner. I think thats ridiculous that after you've already paid extra, then it's an extra charge for that? Speaking of food, the food is below average at best. I've been in the food industry for 20 years and I've stayed at other all inclusive resorts and Maroma is bottom of the barrel. The French restaurant, I swear they seasoned everything with sugar. Every menu item we tasted was sweet. It made no sense. The Italian had a great burrata salad but everything else was not memorable at all. The Asian restaurant again relied heavily on sweetness and the pad Thai was straight tamarind sauce, no umami whatsoever. The Mexican restaurant was again, not memorable. Breakfast buffet was fine, but definitely had some reused, reheated multiple time items that just lacked. The food experience does not live up to what you pay for going to Maroma. Again, there are other all inclusive that blow you away with food, one even has a Michelin Star! The entire food experience here was just plain bad. The Resort itself and the grounds you can start to see its age in places. Our room was getting dated, paint was peeling, tile on the floor had some cracking. The pools were interesting. The pool closest to the beautiful beach is blocked by high sand dunes and vegetation. The beach is beautiful but if you wanted to hang out in the infinity pool all you looked at was sand dunes and vegetation. There were maybe 2 spots about 5 yards wide where you could see a little bit of the beautiful water but other wise no view. Also it would be close to mid day and in the middle pool, an exercise class would be going on. Just felt off for the resort to be doing that. Overall we wont go back and we wont refer people to the resort. Its unfortunate because the beach and water is beautiful but for what you pay, its definitely not worth the trip. Read less
