We just returned from an amazing Babymoon to Sunset at the Palms. It was so relaxing and quiet, the perfect place to re-charge. The staff is wonderful, and the food is delicious - not your standard mass-produced all-inclusive junk! The Lotus Leaf Restaurant and Chef's Showcase Dinner were both fantastic. The small boutique setting means you get to know the staff and even other guests by Day 2. Definitely not a party location, if want a club atmosphere than you should go somewhere else. The Palms is for those who want to relax, reconnect and experience wonderful service. Very loyal guest population, especially for a Caribbean all-inclusive...most of the couples we met were on their 2nd or 3rd return trip and we can understand why! Strongly recommend you see Petulia at the on-site Spa if you want a great massage, she is excellent! Also, do yourself a favor and book your airport transportation with Lloyd, he will get you there quickly but safely. Only negative is street noise (sometimes loud) can be heard from the rooms - bring ear plugs or download a white noise app if you're a light sleeper. Read less

My Husband and I spent our Honeymoon with Sunset at the Palms in December. We were immediately impressed by the property and design choices of the resort. Since it was near Christmas, the staff had put up a beautiful tree as well. Every single staff member we had the pleasure of interacting with was wonderful. A special thank you to Tanisha, Bianka, Lynette, Cash, Britney, and Aidian for making us feel at home. The security of the property was excellent. We were greeted upon going and returning to the beach. The staff takes special care to ensure all guests are accounted for. Although this is not beach front, we enjoyed the private beach available across the street. The beach bar served delicious drinks to cool us down and the beach kitchen provided excellent lunch choices. The food was phenomenal. Do not skip out on the Chef's Showcase or the Sunset Barbecue! Being a boutique style resort, the chefs knew how to serve all guests without compromising flavor and authenticity. A true highlight of our stay! Our room was a deluxe treetop and was surrounded by beautiful gardens. The room is equipped with air conditioning and a very large bathroom with extra closet space. The shower was roomy and the water pressure was great. The resort also includes complimentary shower products. We participated in a few excursions offered at the resort. We sailed off on a catamaran with Captain Bruce, Tini, Tish, and Princeton who kept the vibes fun and the party going. The excursion offered Snorkeling and unlimited rum punch. Both the gear and drinks were provided on board. We would also recommend the spa. Relaxing in the midst of paradise was a memory we will sure cherish. We can't wait to return to more Negril for more incredible sunsets and time with Sunset at the Palms! Read less

We have visited Jamaica six times as a family. When our kids were younger, the big Montego Bay resorts were fantastic. But now that our children are 20 & up, SATP is the perfect spot to relax and recharge as a group. Flying from Los Angeles, Baltimore and New York, we convened at SATP for a second time this past December during Christmas week. The resort's low-key vibe, lush grounds, spacious rooms (we booked 716 & 717 again) and stellar beachfront are some of the key reasons we decided to return. The staff is wonderful, too. Big props to Christine, Claudette, Damon and Cornelius (who can balance EVERYTHING on his head!) They all made our stay extra-special. Lavern, who was our housekeeper during the week, left the most beautiful towel creations -- alligators, bears, swans and more -- on our beds each day. She is an artiste. The pride that Lynford takes in the grounds is exceptional -- I highly recommend taking a tour of the property with him. Lynford can name every plant, flower and bird, including the Jamaican owl, which was perched on a branch near the pool during our entire stay. Lynford also made me a gorgeous “welcome” bouquet. The gym is so pretty, although be forewarned that the WiFi in that location can be a bit spotty. And while I’m usually a resort spa skeptic, my husband and I had a magical couples massage al fresco. This year we decided to stay for New Year's Eve. The resort went all out with a spectacular buffet, incredible ice sculptures, hats/noisemakers + a balloon drop. We had a blast dancing with the staff and guests, many of whom are part of the SATP alumni club. Read less
