First, if you’re not renting a car, use the Haylup App. It’s just like Uber/Lyft for Grenada and will be cheaper than the taxis that the front desk call for you. Pros: BEAUTIFUL hotel and rooms, amazing ambiance, friendly staff, nice little beach Cons: some bad food, limited wine/beer list and mixed drinks were not good most of the time, very small pool, shuttle to other property very limited More details: We stayed as a couple over NYE for 5 nights for our 15th anniversary. The website was really confusing to us and apparently, we booked the wrong room type - we thought we were booking a room with the panoramic, wrap around sliding glass doors but apparently these rooms are the regular ocean view and the panoramic ocean view room was the shotgun style facing the other side of the island. Anyway, the manager Clarista was amazing in shuffling things around to get us into the room we wanted. That woman is a GEM and is making that place shine. She even tried to upgrade us to a beach front room but we wanted more privacy so we opted for the room we booked (we must have the Pineapple suite! Haha, anyway…). Everyone was friendly, loved the vibe. And just a beautiful hotel. Food was pretty good but the NYE dinner was really, really bad. Of course it was too expensive but just the quality of the food, even for a regular dinner, was atrocious. We were also disappointed with the very limited wine and beer selection, and the mixed drinks were usually not very good either. So, this made it feel not like a 5 star resort. FYI we went next door to the Italian restaurant at Laluna and it was terrible. Would not bother. We did really enjoy our dinner at Brisa Mar though – recommend that place and it’s not too far. We went over to the Silversands Grand Anse hotel for one day and were disappointed – the beach there was TINY, the vibe was not relaxing (more young/South Beach, loud techno, etc.). Although the pool there is huge and impressive. If we were younger and hipper perhaps :) Also, note that the shuttle between properties is very infrequent, and the rates charged by taxis picking up at the hotel are very high. It became obvious rather quickly that the drivers/hotel were adding a surcharge for rides (even when paying with cash). We eventually booked rides with the Haylup app which was cheaper. Also, the lack of a true concierge at the Beach House was inconvenient. The front desk was able to arrange a rental car for us for the last 2 days but their off resort lunch recommendation was terrible - we suspect it was a friend’s restaurant. And the sailing charter suggestion was also suspect, we booked with another company instead. Again, not consistent with a true 5 star resort. Overall, it was a beautiful stay, and we enjoyed our trip, but we will probably not return because the downsides (inconsistent food and drinks, tiny pool, very limited beer and wine selection, no concierge, expense getting off resort) outweigh the positives to make it worth the price. If we return to Grenada we will try the Six Senses next. But, such a beautiful room and view!! Read less

Silversands Beach House is like a mini version of the Silversands resort on Grand Anse Beach. They share many of the same elements: gorgeous architecture, high tech rooms, a beautiful infinity pool, gorgeous beach front, fine dining and competent staff. It somehow feels more quiet at Silversands Beach House, possibly because I visited in low season but perhaps also because the beach is more secluded. I absolutely loved the pool and the beach. Unlike at Grand Anse Beach, there is also some decent snorkelling here. I stayed for one night only so I didn’t have a chance to try all the amenities but the outdoor gym looked inviting. I also didn’t have time to use the amenities at Silversands Grand Anse which are extended to Beach House customers and definitely worth taking advantage of. My only constructive criticism would be the limited number of vegetarian options on the menu. If I had stayed longer, I would have very quickly run out of things to eat on the menu. Read less

I've just got back from a week there, I can't praise it highly enough. The rooms are spacious and light, the location is beautiful and the food was excellent. I had a great time doing very little! But what really makes it special is the staff. They were utterly brilliant, I don't think I've ever stayed somewhere where the service was so… Read more

But what really makes it special is the staff. They were utterly brilliant, I don't think I've ever stayed somewhere where the service was so consistently warm, friendly and perfectly executed. I read some reviews before I booked and all seemed to mention the assistant manager Clarista. Now I've been I can totally see why, she was exceptional. A brilliant place on a beautiful island. We had an excellent afternoon lunch celebrating a birthday at the restaurant! The atmosphere was amazing and the food and service superb! Something for everyone (ages 1-70+). Also very much appreciate their ability to accommodate given it was Boxing Day and much of the island was closed. I was a regular at the “old beach house” and Silversands won… Read more
