Surprised this only opened just 18 months ago. The building is just not maintained. That and the food really let this trip down. Honeymoon trip. Paid £6400 for 10 nights in a Terra Suite. 15-26th Jan. The room was lovely. 2 balconies with furniture for lounging in the sun. Tidy, modern and spacious. The pool areas were okay. Always towels and beds available. They had cabana beds that you didn’t have to pay for/book which was a nice touch. We did notice some tiles falling off in each of the 3 pools, and just a general poor finish to work completed everywhere which we think prevents this hotel from being 5*. We also on a few occasions noticed drinks had not been cleared from the day before round the pool. The maids came every day and tidied and cleaned the room. We had no issues with this. Left valuables in the room that weren’t moved an inch each day. The food we found really bad. No matter what, how how it was cooked, the chicken was dry. Quite limited options, lots of fish. The hotel did put on a great spread for Errol Barrow day, and had dancers, fire breathers, performers and bands on. It showed us they could do great food… so why was it so poor every other day. The service we never had a problem with. We are British and I think it’s the same we would receive anywhere in Europe which is to the standard we expect when individuals aren’t working for tips. We have been to America lots of times where the service is to a much higher standard but of course there is a reason for that. We only had 1 server on the verge of being rude and that’s just because she didn’t see us and let us waiting a long time. The hotel put on shuttles to towns which is easy to boom and well organised. Carlisle bay is really worth visiting and then you can walk to Bridgetown from there. Ultimately, for us, it’s the food, cleanliness and lack of maintenance that let the trip down for us and prevents this hotel from being 5 star. Read less

Attentive staff. Luxurious rooms. Good drinks at the bar and great food all around. There was a bit of molding on the ceiling of the bathroom but the room was otherwise immaculate. The grounds are well manicured and picturesque, the food for the most part was good. The cleanliness however, needs addressing immediately. This is an expensive hotel and I’d be surprised if I were told it had been fully cleaned since the opening. The hotel is covered in glass, all of which is dirty. I spilled water on the floor in our room and quickly wiped it with the towel to find the towel covered in dark brown dirt despite having just checked in. There is no attempt to keep the buffet area clean during meal times with food spilled all over the surfaces and floors left until the end of the dining period. There was Dust and debris all over surfaces in the room. It’s the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I couldn’t return until I knew this was addressed. Read less

The Wyndham is an absolutely beautiful looking hotel and we had an amazing room. The cleaning and food really let the food down. The buffet restaurant is really good but you can't just eat here for a week?? They have the grounds to make an absolutely amazing hotel with some made to order options for lunch and dinner. There was a guy who cooked the most amazing Thai curry in the buffet restaurant. Why not use his amazing skills in an al a carte restaurant?? And maybe a snack bar around the pool with made to order options?? It really would make this hotel so much better. The al a carte at Sam lords was amazing but it was adults only so if you had young children you would only have one option for food?? The cleanliness of the hotel was in need of attention. It had only been open for a short while when we visited so maybe that's improved?? There was a guy at the main pool bar who made the most amazing cocktails! This hotel could be truly 5 star if some more dining options were included! And definitely offer some ice cream/ice lollies in the daytime. We would return if there was more dining options options available Read less

House keeping left our door open (all the way) after their evening turndown. The room was left open for hours which we noticed when we returned at 8pm… when we notified front desk they said they would send security straight away but they never came. Asked again the next morning, security never came again. We filled out an incident report and was promised by Front of House Manager Shakira that we would receive a copy of it and findings of their follow up. Nothing ever came through. Two weeks after our stay, Shakira has still not reached out and notified us if someone entered our room or not while we were not there (as promised!) That was the cherry on top to a very disappointing/ underwhelming stay at the Wyndham. The food was very average with limited options, only one fine dining restaurant that books out well in advance (we were only able to book in on our last night at 9pm) this wasn’t ideal as the bar closed as we got our appetizers… They then didn’t bother serving the desserts on the menu, they offered the left over desserts from the buffet. The other food options are only buffet style which lack variety and are tasteless. There is no chance of getting a towel for the pool/beach after midday as the towel stock is empty and even after asking 3 different staff for towels, l sat and waited as instructed for an hour and no one showed up. They just continued to chat amongst themselves. 90% of the staff could not care less, some of the worst experiences that l have ever had at a hotel in my life. Complete waste of money, should be nowhere near a 5 star hotel. There was also no robes provided and the turndown was hit and miss. I read reviews before our stay and decided to take a chance. If l had my time over l would definitely book on the West coast. Read less
