Broadly, had a lovely holiday here last year. It wasn’t perfect - arrived at the hotel and nobody was around at the front or in reception because “no-one called ahead to let us know you were on your way”, staff service was inconsistent between servers, breakfast was a bit chaotic and disorganised, bird mess on dining chairs in the restaurant was a real issue (and reading recent reviews, still seems to be) and the hotel could do with updating (some common areas and bathrooms in the rooms). One evening we had booked the “on the beach” dinner experience. It ended up being set up on the concrete step nearby and wasn’t what was advertised so we decided to cancel it as we arrived. On check-out, I was charged for items from the mini-bar which were not consumed and it took two weeks and an escalation to the hotel’s GM to get this addressed. Little things, but need to be addressed swiftly and professionally to get this hotel back up to where it should be - especially when there are other very good hotels nearby to choose from. That said, the location is excellent and we enjoyed the pool and beach areas. We have decided to return in March 2025 because overall we had fun, but recent poor reviews are very concerning. I hope that the hotel management team is prioritising and addressing the points that guests are raising - I would hate to experience similar issues in a couple of months’ time. Read less

Hotel in a superb setting, with very comfortable rooms. The staff are friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet is delicious. An ideal hotel for a change of scenery. We had an excellent stay in every respect and would highly recommend this hotel.
Image of the Tripadvisor rating DEFINITELY NOT A 5* HOTEL - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

This is definitely not a 5* hotel and should not be selling itself as such and charging 5* prices. The hotel is very tired and dated, shabby in areas. The pool is dirty. This is definitely not a 5* hotel and should not be selling itself as such and charging 5* prices. The hotel is very tired and dated, shabby in areas. The pool is dirty. It is difficult to get a sunbed on the beach as the beach attendant puts books out saving them for all his favourite guests who have paid him to do so at 6٫30-7٫00 am every morning, some of those sunbeds remain unused all morning. The selection at breakfast is good however the quality of the food is very poor. The service of the staff is inconsistent. Sometimes it's ok but a lot of the time it is bad. Some staff are friendly but a lot of staff are just rude and have an attitude problem. We ordered things on many occasions that just never turned up and we gave up waiting. The gym is very tired and dirty, old and outdated equipment, some of it not working for the duration of our visit (2 weeks). The only positive thing I can say about the hotel is its location. The big issue it is selling itself as 5* and charging 5* prices and it really isn't - it is more like a 3-4* hotel and if that is what you want then you will be ok but if you have paid the 5* price and expect 5* you will be disappointed. We had several other guests staying at the same time as us who we also heard complaining about exactly the same things. This was not my first visit to this hotel, I stayed back in 2017 and it has deteriorated since then and it is very apparent that there has been no investment in the property and it badly needs it to bring it up to standard. When we booked it the photos were outstanding, it’s the opposite in the reality. the hotel in need of updating and renewal. The entrance drive felt dull and the car park looks scary. It’s not 5 star hotel. It looks like 3 star marina with a nice view. The room is very tired with dirty furniture. But the worst thing we paid for these rooms so much money, so we could stay at a huge modern private villa with a chef and butler. Doesn’t worth it Very disappointed Read less
