To me, thia is the very basic of running a very expensive hotel. The pool has been closed since our second day, no ETA to fix. The sign on the ice machine on our floor directs you to two other ice machines that are also broken. “You can get ice from the bar”, which does not have a bartender. The ceiling in our hallway has a hole in it, and we were awoken today at 0630 with construction in the room across the hall, the debris from which is now outside our door. I stayed in this hotel twice before several years ago and was looking forward to returning, but to say it has gone downhill is a gross understatement. The only reason they get two stars rather than one is the location. Read less

The resort falls short of a 4-star rating. If you’re considering the all-inclusive package, be cautious—it’s not as advertised. There’s no consistent buffet for lunch or dinner; it’s only available a few times a week, and even then, the food quality is disappointing. View out on to pool and beach / ocean. Air conditioning was very good with also a ceiling fan. USB sockets by the bed were handy. The niggles we had were no hot water for one whole day. Toilet flush didn't work properly and need manual intervention by us lifting cystern on regular basis even after reporting it. Daily Cleaning was either very good or very average with not all towels being changed everytime which meant having to request regularly. Some parts of the room need updating like crumbling concrete under the sliding doors to the balcony and wardbrobe doors extremely stiff to open / close. Decor and some funriture could do with updating. All things that can be easily sorted. Safe was good and secure. Pool was good with swim up bar open between 12-4pm daily. No problem getting a sunbed either. The staff were very good. Suresh the Manager very attentive and Sylvester at The sunset beach bar great fun with excellent banter. The happy hour daily from 4-6pm at the Sunset beach bar was great value with all drinks at half price. The rum punch is lethal but great!! Entertainment at this bar a few times a week with singers and steel band etc which were all very good and gave a great atmosphere. Lobby bar was good showing English Premier League games which was a bonus. The location could not be better. Beach front on Rockley beach which is lovely. Surrounded by a host of local eateries The Tiki Bar and rum shacks close by and right by the boardwalk where a walk along found Oasis Bar, Backyard Bar, Chill Bar, Tapas restaurant and Blakeys. All very good for food and entertainment. Very good Chinese over the road in the precinct. Also about 10 mins on the ZR bus to the Gap for a lot more nightlife. Food looked good although didn't eat there as were room only as wanted to sample local venues. Would we stay there again? Yes I think we definitely would but would request a specific room. If this hotel was refurbed it would be an absolute gem with a location thats hard to beat. Until the next time Barbados and thanks for the memories!! Read less
