We stayed at the kruger gate hotel for 3 nights following an 8 night stay in sanparks accommodation in kruger park. The hotel is lovely and the staff are all frirndly, professional and lovely too. We booked the luxury room as we wanted access to sit out on our little patio. The room was beautiful and all the public spaces are lovely too. We continued to spend most of our time game viewing in kruger park during our stay at the hotel but it was lovely to spend a bit of time relaxing in the afternoon by the hotel pool on the sabie river. The staff at the pool bar were very attentive and friendly. We also enjoyed playing the mini golf . All dinners were in the boma during our stay. We are not always fans of boma dining, however, this boma was arranged like a beautiful outdoor restaurant with each group having their own personal table. Food choices and quality on the breakfast and dinner buffet were some of the best we have had from buffet meals. Drinks were served to the table by lovely staff and we had Excellence looking after us who was indeed excellent!. We self drove in the kruger park and one of the best things about this hotel is being able to stay in such comfort at such close proximity to the Paul Kruger gate. On leaving the hotel gate you are at the paul Jruger entrance gate over the bridge in less than a minute. We were there in low season so there were no big queues to get our permit to enter the gate at the 5.30am opening time, however, we did have to wait until all the guides got their permits as they are given priority. In high season the waiting time may be considerably longer. In summary we think this is a fabulous hotel for a trip to the kruger park and great value for money with the breakfast and dinner meals included. We look forward to staying again next time we visit Kruger Park. Read less
