You could have breakfast in the restaurant or the buffet, both having completely different things. Pool area really nice with complimentary water. We would definitely return. Read less

Our room was overlooking the central courtyard with the fountains. It was clean and well kept and the beds were very comfy. Perfect location away from city centre buzz but always with that wonderful mountain in view! Could not recommend this hotel highly enough. Read less

With respect have to completely disagree with the previous review - we have been at poolside for the last week and there is absolutely no problem getting loungers at the pool area (photo attached of today at the pool) and even though the hotel is full there is plenty of loungers in the reception area at any time of day - the reason the hotel is… Read more

The previous contributor also makes the ridiculous statement that the Lebanese restaurant has to much of a eastern influence - laughable, what do they expect - more of a burger and chips environment in a Lebanese restaurant - we would rate it as exceptional and service with a smile from lovely staff !! We last stayed at the Vineyard about 15 years ago. The hotel has considerably grown in size which has detracted from its intimacy especially as the hotel was full. Our room was comfortable and well appointed but the public areas are too small to house full capacity. There are not any proper lounges for the residents and the swimming pool area becomes incredibly crowded during the day. We found the restaurants generally disappointing - the Morii gastronomic restaurant is too focussed on Middle Eastern dishes which do not appear to have wide appeal. The others are too burger orientated. The Cape has so many good chefs and a hotel of this standard deserves better. The glorious gardens and tortoises save the day but despite this space the hotel felt very full! Read less

The food is excellent, a fabulous breakfast buffet and lots of nice places to sit and chat to family and friends over coffee. The gardens are gorgeous and of course the mountain tortoises are very special. I hope to be back soon. Read less
