Spending time at their ISOLA pool area was so nice. Big thanks to all especially Melissa. She really cares about our happiness and well being. We were treated so nicely and attentively by all staff. They alone make this resort 5 star. Breakfast was nice. The place and location again nice. The pool staff were something else though.

If this rating was only for the gym, the room and the breakfast I would give it 5 stars unfortunately it’s not. There’s a lack of attention to detail which 5 star hotels should not suffer, examples: I booked my trip months ago. I let them know what time I was arriving and I booked a car through them. The day before my arrival they sent me an email asking what time I am arriving and would I like a car!!!! I was flabbergasted. I had to send them my booking back to them! So I arrived and even though they knew what time I was arriving and I know for a fact that they had plenty of spare rooms my room was not ready. So I went into town for some groceries as they said it would be an hour and came back 90 mins and it still was not ready. It turns out that they’d finished cleaning, they just hadn’t put raw sugar in my room even though when I insisted that I would wait no longer it was in fact already there!!! One of the emails asked for my preferences so I said I wanted NO decaf Nespresso pods. So day 1 and 2 were fine. Day 3…what did I get? Decaf pods! So put them out with a note that said ”I said no decaf pods, thank you”. Day 4 fine. Day 5 and 6….yes you guessed it I got decaf pods again!!!! Where’s the attention to detail here? When a customer tells you their exact preferences it’s difficult to screw it up but they did. There was also no wifi and no power half the time I was there. Wifi dropped to nothing often and the power was constantly off and bizarrely controlled by a Master switch which they don’t tell you and they keep switching off! I run a business based on the internet so this stopped me working which in a 5 star hotel is unacceptable. The gym on the other hand was probably the best gym that I have ever been in. Lots of space, they have resisted the temptation to fill the gym with machines so as a result it feels calm, uncrowded and relaxing. They have all weights, machines and uniquely they have free coffee drinks, free protein drinks, free coconut water drinks and even free water bottles for those of us who forgot there’s. I’ve never come across a gym that offers all of this as I usually have to bring my own, it was amazing and made my work out extra positive. The breakfast was amazing, the range of local and foreign foods was brilliant. The flatbread was my favourite but everything was good. The only annoying thing here is that one person would show you to the table, one person would get your food order, one person would get your drink order, one person would just come around and say is everything ok….one person could have done all of this! Location is epic and it’s easy to get an Uber to anywhere from here too. My room had amazing views of Table Mountain which inspired me everyday, if only the attention to detail here could be as great as that view. Read less

Dinner at rooi was spectacular, incredible design, home feel food with a luxurious touch. Cannot wait to come back very soon! Wine sommelier was great, beverage trolley I’ve never experienced before, is a nice touch. Overall, a new favourite for us

Unfortunately we stayed for only 4 days, but they were great. Super helpful and friendly staff, wonderful room overlooking the lagoon and table mountain. Daily nightcap on the terrace was a given. We had breakfast (vast choice and excellent quality) and dined once at the Nobu (fantastic). Highly recommendable, also as the location is amazing.

We stayed 5 night in a villa on the island. I certainly recommend the villas. Attentive, helpful, polite staff; high quality amenities - including high powerful hairdryer, candle, bath salts, shampoo, conditioner, pillow spray, robe, slippers, etc. Perfect structure of the room, spacious, beautifully decorated, every item working and silent; every… Read more
We stayed 5 night in a villa on the island. I certainly recommend the villas. Attentive, helpful, polite staff; high quality amenities - including high powerful hairdryer, candle, bath salts, shampoo, conditioner, pillow spray, robe, slippers, etc. Perfect structure of the room, spacious, beautifully decorated, every item working and silent; every night, one kind message or a special gift from the housekeeping staff . All these things help us relax and enjoy every moment. Delicious and complete breakfast. Good options of restaurants inside the hotel. Walking distance to the Waterfront shops and malls. The right place to be in Cape Town. Surely I will stay again and again. It definitely helped define the wonderful impression we had from Cape Town! Read less
